A declaration was signed on the development of the professional combat sambo league in the world.

Head of FIAS A.V. Shestakov noted: “It is extremely important for us to retain successful and talented athletes who have achieved high results in sambo. Therefore, it was decided to introduce a financial component for athletes participating in such fights, and to transfer this experience to all continents and national federations.

President of the European and All-Russian Sambo Federation S. Eliseev stressed: “We have created this League and it is very important for us today that the national federations not only support our initiative, but also take over the baton.”

Especially for these competitions, new rules have been developed that will make them as simple and understandable as possible for athletes and spectators, make the fight more fair, eliminating referee errors.

This League has several goals and objectives at once, including the need to promote SAMBO as a sports brand in the international arena, the organization and conduct of tournaments in a new innovative format, the transformation of professional combat SAMBO into an attractive sport for investment.
