The national sambo team of Kyrgyzstan won six medals at the Asian Games

The national sambo team of Kyrgyzstan today won six medals at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, continuing in Ashgabat. This is the official website of the competition.

On the first day of the SAMBO tournament, 11 representatives of our country took part. In the section “Combat Sambo” in the weight category up to 74 kg Raimkul uulu Beknazar won “gold”. He alternately defeated Jeffrey Sinambela (Indonesia), Satlyk Karyev (Turkmenistan) and Asylbek Smailov (Kazakhstan).

Daniyar Alymzhanov (up to 100 kg) became the silver medalist. In the quarterfinals, he defeated the Mongolian Ariunbat Dalaidorzh, in the semifinals he was stronger than the Turkmenian Babajan Ivadullaev, and in the final he lost to another carpet owner Sarymurat Annagurbanov.

In the same section, bronze awards were won by Mamatemin uulu Salmoorbek (up to 74 kg) and Ulukbek Mamytov (up to 100 kg). Tilek Amankulov won the bronze in the sports sambo section in the 52 kg weight category.

Among women in weight up to 48 kg, Abdyldabek kyzy Aitkul took silver. In the 1/2 finals, she defeated Zhadyra Payiz, and in the final she lost to Aizhan Zhylkybaeva. Both of her rivals were from Kazakhstan.

The sambo tournament will continue on September 25 and 26.

In addition, the first prize-winners of the kickboxing tournament were determined today within the framework of the Asian Games. Kyrgyzstani Yulia Borisova, competing in the “full contact” section in weight up to 56 kg, won the “bronze”. In the quarterfinals, she defeated Selby Kulysova (Turkmenistan) – 3: 0, and in the semifinals she lost to Fatima Alizada (Iran) – 0: 2.

In the medal standings of the games, the Kyrgyz national team is in 11th place. She has 48 awards: seven gold, 15 silver and 26 bronze.
